Child Inspired Foundation provides holistic support in education and healthcare to orphaned children across Tanzania — so that every child can grow up in a nurturing environment and reach their full potential.
Our founder, Helena Pascal, lost her mother at four and her father at eight. At eight she became part of the Newland Orphanage family, where she was nurtured and flourished.
That experience became a calling. What started in 2017 as the Comrades Charity Group — friends pooling material help for orphans — became the Child Inspired Foundation in 2021: a registered non-profit devoted to the education, health and emotional wellbeing of children without parental care.

Ensuring orphaned children have equal access to quality education, including school supplies, teacher training, scholarship programmes and the costs that keep children out of class.
Supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of orphaned children through counselling services, trauma-informed care, and safe spaces where they can express themselves.
Promoting gender equality through initiatives that address the needs of orphaned girls, including education on reproductive health and protection from gender-based violence.
Addressing healthcare disparities through regular medical check-ups, immunisations and nutrition programmes, and by promoting hygiene practices in the centres we work with.
Developing support systems that stay with orphaned children as they move into adulthood — mentorship, life-skills training, and help with higher education or job placements.
Offering vocational training that equips orphaned children with practical skills and knowledge to strengthen their employability and future prospects.
